We are aware that some anti-virus software or active scanning applications can cause issues when NXPowerLite for File Servers is running, sometimes even causing it to crash. This is normally due to the fact that during live scanning it can hold open file(s) that NXPowerLite needs to access.
In order to avoid this happening we suggest that you add the following folders to your scanning application's whitelist to exclude from scanning:
- The 'Neuxpower' folder in the %PROGRAMDATA% folder of the user running the NXPowerLite for File Servers Dashboard (user interface).
- The %TEMP% directory of the user configured to run the 'NXPowerLite File server' windows service.
- The installation directory (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\NXPowerLite for File Servers)
- Registry hive:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite Fileserver\9.0
or
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite Fileserver\9.0
