We are aware that some anti-virus software or active scanning applications can cause issues when NXPowerLite Server is running, sometimes even causing it to crash. This is normally because during live scanning it can hold open file(s) that NXPowerLite needs to access.
To avoid this happening we suggest that you add the following folders to your scanning application's whitelist to exclude from scanning:
- The 'Neuxpower' folder in the %PROGRAMDATA% folder of the user running the NXPowerLite Server Dashboard (user interface).
- The %TEMP% directory of the user configured to run the 'NXPowerLite File Server' Windows service.
- The installation directory (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\NXPowerLite Server)
- Registry hive:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite Fileserver\10.0
or
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite Fileserver\10.0
