Compression software usage
Desktop:
For individuals or can be deployed company-wide for manual ad-hoc or automatic email file compression. Works well with individual or small batches of files that need to be manually processed.
Each software installation is activated with a single per-user registration key. It is possible to manage multiple users with the same key. NXPowerLite Desktop can be deployed to multiple users by following the deployment guide.
Server:
For IT administrators to compress files transparently in the background without affecting users. It is ideal for reclaiming space in file shares or monitoring folders and compressing files as they are added. It runs as a Windows service in the background, replacing original files with smaller compressed versions.
It is installed on a per file server basis and can compress data on any storage device in the domain.

Licensing
NXPowerLite Desktop licenses are perpetual per-user licenses. Prices start at $54 and there are discounts for buying in bulk. We offer a Upgrade Assurance subscription at 20% of the purchase price which ensures that the latest software and support are always available.
NXPowerLite Server licences are issued per file server and based on the volume of space configured for file storage in your devices. For example: With a single 8 TB device that has 4 TB configured for files you would need a 5 TB licence. The volume that is currently occupied is not taken into account so in the above example if only 2 TB is occupied you will still need the 5 TB licence. Licenses are available in 5TB, 10TB, 15TB and unlimited.
