At Neuxpower, we are committed to making our software accessible to everyone. We continuously evaluate and improve NXPowerLite Desktop to ensure it is usable by individuals who rely on assistive technologies, keyboard-only navigation, and custom display settings.
Conformance Status
NXPowerLite Desktop (Windows) v11.0.1 has been evaluated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) versions 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2.
| Standard | Conformance Level |
| WCAG 2.2 Level A | Fully Supports |
| WCAG 2.2 Level AA | Partially Supports |
| WCAG 2.2 Level AAA | Not Evaluated |
Key Accessibility Features
Our core optimization workflows are designed to support standard Windows accessibility features. Highlights include:
- Keyboard Navigation: The entire core workflow—from selecting files to choosing optimization profiles and processing—can be completed using standard keyboard interfaces (Tab, Space, Enter, Arrow keys).
- Screen Reader Compatibility: The application exposes standard Name, Role, and Value properties for compatibility with tools like Windows Narrator.
- Focus Management: Clear visual focus indicators are present, and focus is never trapped within a control or obscured by floating elements.
- Display Scaling: The interface fully supports Windows DPI scaling up to 200% without truncating text or losing functionality.
- Error Prevention: The software provides explicit warnings and utilizes the Windows Recycle Bin to prevent accidental data loss when permanently overwriting files.
Known Limitations
We believe in complete transparency. During our most recent audit, we identified a few areas where the application does not fully support WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines:
- Tooltips (Hover/Focus): Standard Windows tooltips on our command bar icons cannot currently be dismissed using the Escape key without moving the mouse pointer.
- Contrast on Selected Rows: While the vast majority of our application exceeds contrast requirements, standard system text inside a highlighted list row achieves a 4.498:1 contrast ratio, falling microscopically short of the strict 4.5:1 requirement.
- Final Status Messages: While active processing progress is announced by screen readers, the visual success/error indicators on the final results screen require the user to manually navigate to them to hear the result.
