If you are new to Slidewise we'll show you some quick tips to get you acquainted with using the software.
Open Slidewise
Once installed, a Slidewise button will appear on the Home tab of your PowerPoint Ribbon. Click the Open Slidewise button to get started.
Main navigation
The Slidewise navigation is located at the top of the pane that opens to the right of your slides. You can switch between the 6 Slidewise tools using the dropdown menu.
On the right is the status indicator.
A tick means that Slidewise is in sync with the content in your presentation. A refresh button shows that you need to refresh Slidewise before you can make any changes.
Show in PowerPoint
Slidewise allows you to instantly jump to any PowerPoint object. Simply right-click on any object and select "Show in PowerPoint". You can also double-click or use the menu buttons at the end of each row.
Action Buttons
Try clicking the menu buttons on each rows to see what options you have. The menus change dynamically based on the content in the row.
Warnings and Information
Warnings are indicated by orange flags and tell you that something is wrong that needs to be addressed. Yellow dots indicate that there is more information about that content.
Hover over the row with a flag or dot and you will see a tooltip pop up with more information and sometimes links to further help.
Inspector
The Inspector is located at the bottom of the Slidewise pane and shows detailed information about the currently selected object in PowerPoint. The information shown will depend on the object that is selected.
Slidewise Ribbon
The Slidewise Ribbon tab has two further features worth noting.
- Export Original Images: Select one or more images on a slide and export the unmodified original images from the selected objects.
- Export Slides As: Select slides and then export them as images, PPTX or PDF files.
