NXPowerLite Video error messages explained

There are many reasons why NXPowerLite Video cannot process MP4 or MOV files. These reasons are displayed in the Summary Report or in the Status column of the exported.

Already Optimal
By inspecting the file's attributes and metadata, NXPowerLite has determined that the video file cannot be compressed as it appears to be already optimal. See "Already Optimal" video files in more detail
Cannot be reduced
NXPowerLite has tried to compress the file but the file cannot be made any smaller.
Already optimized
The file is skipped by NXPowerLite because it has been previously optimized.
Unsupported video codec
The file has a supported file extension (MP4 or MOV) but the video codec of the file is not supported. Please submit the file to Neuxpower so we can support in the future.
Unsupported audio codec
NXPowerLite does not support the audio codec of the file - see NXPowerLite Video File Support for more details. Please submit the file and we can add support for these files in the future.
Multiple video tracks
NXPowerLite only supports files with a maximum of 1 video track - see NXPowerLite Video File Support for more details.
Multiple audio tracks
NXPowerLite only supports files with a maximum of 1 audio track - see NXPowerLite Video File Support for more details.
Multiple metadata tracks
File contains tracks (other than video or audio) that NXPowerLite cannot process.
Sub-picture track
NXPowerLite does not support video file with sub-picture track - see NXPowerLite Video File Support for more details.
Unsupported brand
This video file is created by an FTYP brand that NXPowerLite does not support. Submit the file and we can add support for these files in the future.
Streaming file
NXPowerLite does not process streaming video files
Interlaced Video
NXPowerLite does not support interlaced video
Unsupported H264 profile or level
The H264 file profile or level is unsupported. For example, there are profiles for 3D video and 10-bit colour etc. that NXPowerLite does not support.
File contains unknown data
NXPowerLite checks the file structure of every file before processing. It has not seen this type of file and will not process it. Submit the file and we can add support for these files in the future.
Unexpected file format
NXPowerLite does not know the format of the file. Please submit the file for investigation.

 

Internal processing errors

Transcoding error
An error has occurred during the transcoding process.
Aborted by user
The user cancelled the process when this file was being compressed.
Access Denied
NXPowerLite cannot access the file to compress it.
Unknown error
File not found
NXPowerLite has scanned and found the file but it could not be found when trying to process it.It could have been moved or deleted since the intial scan.
Internal application error
The service has stopped for a reason unknown to UI.
Internal error: Invalid arguments
Invalid arguments have been sent to the video optimizer.
Failed to compare file sizes
Read-only failed (suppress)
NXPowerLite could not turn off read-only property on the file.
Read-only failed (restore)
NXPowerLite failed to restore the read-only property
Read-only file
The file is marked as read-only and the settings are configured to skip read-only files
Read-only failed (attributes)
NXPowerLite could not read the file properties to determine whether the file is read-only.
Failed to launch optimizer
NXPowerLite could not launch the internal optimizer process
After optimization NXPowerLite was unable to compare the sizes of the original and compressed files. The failure is likely caused by a failure in NXPowerLite code used to call the operating system's API.
Failed to create temporary file
NXPowerLite was unable to create a temporary copy of the file in order to compress it.
Failed to copy input file
NXPowerLite was unable to copy the file to a temporary folder in order to compress it.
Failed to copy metadata
NXPowerLite was unable to copy all of the video file's metadata to the output file. Submit the file and we can add support for these files in the future.
Output folder path not found
The parent directory of the output file does not exist.
This is generated when an error occurs in the NXPVideoOptimizer process and the error is not covered by our existing errors.
