With the release of macOS Sequoia (version 15), we've discovered that NXPowerLite Desktop Finder extensions are no longer functioning as expected. This issue stems from Apple's removal of the Finder Sync extensions configuration interface from the System Settings in Sequoia, even though the code to support Finder extensions still exists within macOS. If you're using other apps with similar functionality, you may have encountered this issue there as well, since it impacts all apps relying on the same API.
Apple is aware of this issue affecting developers, but unfortunately, it remains unclear whether they plan to release an update to resolve it.
In the meantime, we’ve identified a workaround that can re-enable NXPowerLite’s Finder extension functionality in macOS Sequoia.

Mac development company ZigZag has produced a lightweight app, FinderSyncer,
that allows users to access the hidden Finder extensions setting. Follow these steps to ensure it works correctly:
- Close NXPowerLite Desktop
- Download and install FinderSync App.
- Open it to see all the installed apps that have Finder extensions.
- Enable each app that you want to have access to Finder.
- Quit FinderSyncer App.
- Right-click on a file to see NXPowerLite Desktop options
