When entering your registration key into Slidewise you may receive the following message: "The key is not valid".
This can happen for either of the two reasons listed below. Please follow the advice to resolve the issue.
A. Copy/Paste error
Please ensure that you copy and paste the exact registration details that were supplied when you purchased Slidewise. To ensure that there are no additional hidden characters you can first paste the registration key into the Notepad app that allows you to see it in plain text. Then copy that into Slidewise.
B. The registration key is for the wrong version or wrong software
When we release significant updates to the software the major version number will change from, say, 1 to 2. When registering the key has to match the version of the software you have installed. So you may have entered a registration key for v1 into v2 software. To resolve this follow these steps to determine which version you have installed and your current license.
What version of Slidewise do I have installed?
In the Slidewise tab or from the Slidewise button, click the About Slidewise option to launch the dialog.
This will tell you the exact version that you have installed. Take note of the major version - in the case below it is version 2.
What version of Slidewise am I licensed for?
When you purchased Slidewise you will have received an email receipt sent from 'sales@neuxpower.com'. The email subject contains 'Your Slidewise order'. The receipt will indicate your version of Slidewise. If you cannot find your receipt email, use our automated license reminder service to receive an email with your registration details for each of your licenses of Neuxpower's software.
Note: If you have purchased a subscription license the registration key will work on Slidewise version 2 and above.
I have a license for an older version than I have installed
If you have a license for v1 and have v2 installed then you have the following 2 choices:
- (Recommended) Upgrade your Slidewise license to match the version you have installed. Please contact us to arrange a discounted upgrade for existing customers.
- Uninstall the currently installed version of Slidewise and install the version your license matches. Download details for old versions are in this support article.
