Neuxpower License Portal user roles explained

In order to manage NXPowerLite for File Servers credit, view usage and find the License Server ID for your organization, you will need to be set up as a user of the Neuxpower License Portal. Each user is allocated a role depending on what actions they need to perform. Following is a description of each role and what they are able to do.

Portal User Role

These users can be created either by a user with Portal Admin User rights or by the Neuxpower support team. Users in this role are intended as 'additional users' that may need access to information but will not be actively managing the organization's online account.

Once created, Portal Users will be able to do the following:

  • View the License Server ID (needed to purchase credit)
  • View usage
  • Manage and view devices that have NXPowerLite installed

Portal Admin User Role

When an initial credit for NXPowerLite for File Servers is purchased, a Portal User Admin user account is set up for the email address given during the checkout process. The login credentials for this account are sent to the purchaser's email address directly after purchase.

Users in this role can actively manage the organization's account and users. Portal User Admin Users can perform all the actions listed above for Portal Users, as well as the following:

  • Create other users (either Portal Admin Users or Portal Users)
  • Reset users' passwords
