Overriding built-in optimization settings in NXPowerLite for Microsoft Exchange

NXPowerLite for Microsoft Exchange can be customized with a powerful range of settings. These are accessed from dialogs within the program, and allow you to customize both the file types that are optimized, and to what extent they are optimized.

In addition to these, there are a couple of built-in settings that can be overridden via Registry values. Neither of these values are present by default, and should be set at the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite for Microsoft Exchange\v6

on a 32-bit machine or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Neuxpower\NXPowerLite for Microsoft Exchange\v6

on a 64-bit machine.

Note that changes to these settings will only take place at the start of a new run, when the Find Mailboxes button is clicked.

Minimum item age in days

Default is 7 days.

By default, NXPowerLite for Microsoft Exchange ignores any items (emails) that are newer than 7 days old. This can be overridden by setting the Minimum item age in days Registry value, which is a DWORD. If set to 0, NXPowerLite will attempt to optimize all email items regardless of age.

JPEG file min pixel size

Default is 500,000 pixels (0007a120).

This DWORD value determines the minimum pixel size that a standalone JPEG file must be before it is optimized. For example, an image with dimensions 1,000 x 1,000 pixels would be 1,000,000 pixels in total. If set to 0, NXPowerLite will attempt to process all JPEG files regardless of size.
