This error was introduced in the Windows 10 November update (1511), and was caused by a conflict between Windows 10 and third party code used within NXPowerLite.
Users of IBM Lotus Notes with Windows 10 may also see this error when this application starts.
Our development team identified and resolved the issue, and a fix was included in NXPowerLite point release 7.0.1.

If you are unsure which version of NXPowerLite is installed on your computer, you can check by opening NXPowerLite then clicking on 'About'. This will open a separate window which shows your registered user name and the NXPowerLite release number.
